Frequently asked questions
Is Numbered affiliated with the Church?
No. Numbered is an independent third-party app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Does Numbered connect to any Church system?
No. Numbered has no live connection to LCR, the Member Tools app, or any other Church system — it can't read from them or write to them. The only way ward data gets into Numbered is when you put it there: you export your ward's contacts and paste them in, the same way Member Tools already lets you share contact information.
What does Numbered import from LCR?
Contact information only — names and the contact details you choose to export. Numbered never imports callings, ordinance dates, temple-recommend status, mission history, or ministering assignments. None of that membership data is stored in Numbered at any point.
Is it okay to import my ward's contacts into Numbered?
Yes. Contact information is meant to be shared and used — that's why the Member Tools app has a first-class "export contacts" feature, and you can pull your whole ward's contacts from LCR in one go. Contact info is the only Church-originated data Numbered ever touches; the sensitive parts of the membership record stay in LCR. (You're still responsible for handling your ward's contact information thoughtfully, as you would anywhere else.)
Does Numbered change anything in LCR?
Never — Numbered can't write to LCR. For things that belong in the official record, like a calling once it's been sustained, Numbered points you back to LCR to enter it there. It fills the gaps the Church's tools don't cover — sacrament planning, the calling pipeline, interview scheduling, member notes — without replacing the record itself.
How do I join my ward?
Open the app, search for your ward, and tap "Join." Your bishopric will approve the request.
I'm a leader — who can see my notes?
Only you. Pastoral entries you author (interviews, notes, activity assessments, todos) are private to you at the database level. Other leaders in the ward cannot see them. When you're released from your calling, your private notes stay with you — the next person called is not given access.
How do I become a leader in my ward?
A bishopric member in your ward promotes you through the app. Numbered doesn't verify callings against any Church system — your bishopric is the source of truth.
How do I publish a sacrament program?
[placeholder — short step-by-step once UI is finalized]
Can I use Numbered in more than one ward?
Yes. Your profile is portable across wards. You'll have one home ward and can request to join other wards as a member.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. We delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days. See the Privacy Policy for details.
