Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Numbered mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Numbered. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Relationship with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Numbered is an independent third-party application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Numbered does not access, integrate with, or receive data from any Church-operated system or directory. All ward-related data in Numbered is provided by the users of the app.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create in Numbered (ward programs, events, announcements, pastoral notes, imported contact data). By submitting content to the Service, you grant Numbered a limited license to store, display, and process that content solely to operate the Service on your behalf.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any contact information you paste into Numbered. Do not upload content that infringes the rights of others, violates any law, or violates the privacy of others.

5. Ward Participation and Leader Roles

Ward membership and leader roles within Numbered are bishopric-confirmed. The bishopric of a ward in Numbered is responsible for approving members, assigning leader sub-roles, and transferring admin authority. Numbered does not verify these roles against any external source.

6. Leader-Private Content

Content authored as a "leader-private entry" (interviews, notes, activity assessments, todos) is private to the authoring leader. Other leaders, members, and Numbered staff do not have access except as required to operate the Service or respond to legal process.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others
• Attempt to access data you are not authorized to access
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk communications
• Upload malware, exploit vulnerabilities, or interfere with the operation of the Service

8. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of Numbered may be available only through a paid subscription. Payments are handled by Apple via the App Store; refunds are governed by Apple's policies. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the app's settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. On termination we will delete or anonymize your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Numbered's total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Numbered in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) $100.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
